Chris is an accomplished Golf Professional with the better part of 20 years of teaching in the sport and over 20,000 hours of experience instructing busy and driven New Yorkers, juniors and adults alike.
He’s a Hank Haney Associate Certified Instructor, and is certified with Titleist Performance Institute. Chris spends time each year traveling around the United States to learn from other top instructors. Chris prides himself on his understanding of technology and incorporating it into his technique. His experience with BodiTrak, K-Vest, Flight Scope, Trackman, and Blast among other innovative technologies, has in part helped Chris become a top golf instructor in the NY Metro and earned him the title “Coach of the Year” from Chelsea Piers in 2009.
Whether it’s introducing a beginner to the thrill of the sport or helping players prepare for competition, Chris keeps his teaching methods simple. He employs a kinesthetic learning approach so that information is better absorbed through touch and movement, coupled with the use of versatile and intuitive teaching applications, so as to promote a use of feel to achieve and maintain a proper swing motion.
Chris’s dedication and level of expertise in teaching has enabled him to produce high performing players especially at the Jr Elite Level. He has a longstanding relationship with Konnectgolf member Luke Sample, who in 2020 became the youngest player to win the Met Open Championship in its 105 year history. Also in 2020 Luke won the Met Junior Championship, and was runner up for the Met amateur. He has won 3 AJGA events, and is a 3x New York State Champion. Chris has a few other notable Juniors in his roster who are presently advancing through the Junior golf ranks and is looking forward to expanding Konnect’s outreach in this group as well as with adults.
Chris is a published author for the East Penn press, has analyzed President Obama’s golf swing on CNN… has interviewed on ABC, FOXNews, Telemundo and photographed for Esquire, Golf, and Men’s Health. He has worked at Olde Homestead Golf Club (PA) and Stanton Ridge Country Club (NJ), and has taught golf in the Caribbean. Before coming to Konnect, he spent the last 15 years at Chelsea Piers.
