Turn your tournament rounds into something you can control
When the scorecard is in your hand, everything gets exposed: strategy, nerves and how honest your practice has been. Tournament preparation and playing lessons are designed to help your game hold up when it matters, not just on the range.
Tournament Preparation Sessions
Before a key event, we remove as much uncertainty as possible and build a clear plan for how you’ll prepare and how you’ll play.
- Meeting online to go over the tournament, golf course, and conditions.
- Reviewing the course using maps, yardage books, or past rounds.
- Building a tee-shot plan for each hole that fits your actual dispersion.
- Deciding how you’ll handle different winds, pins, and weather.
- Create a simple, focused practice plans for each day leading into the event so you’re working on the right things.
You leave the session knowing exactly how you’ll prepare, where you’re trying to hit the ball, and how you want to think your way around the course.
Playing Lessons
A playing lesson shows what really happens between the first tee and the last putt. We are not chasing perfect positions. We are looking at how your decisions and patterns affect your score.
- I watch your mistakes and your improvements in real time.
- We discuss what is holding you back and where you can gain shots.
- We focus on club selection, targets, recovery choices, and short game strategy.
- We look at how you respond after a bad shot and how you close out good rounds.
After the round, you receive:
- A written analysis of your strengths, patterns, and priority areas.
- A few short videos highlighting key changes or feels we discussed on the course.
- Clear next steps for your practice and upcoming lessons.
Playing lessons are ideal for students who already work with me regularly and want their On-course performance to match the work they put in on the lesson tee.
FAQ
Do I need to already be working with you to book a playing lesson?
Playing lessons work best for students who already work with me regularly, because we can build on the work we have done not the lessons tee. If you are new, start with a Discovery Session and we can decide when a playing lesson makes sense.
How far in advance should I schedule tournament preparation?
Ideally, we meet at least a week before your event so you have time to use the practice plans and course strategy we put together. If your schedule is tight, we can still get work done closer to the event, but more time gives you a better chance to absorb the plan.
Can tournament prep be done completely online?
Yes. We can do full tournament prep sessions over Zoom. We share the screen, review the course, build your game plan, and outline your practice for the days leading up to the event.
What level of player is this for?
Tournament prep and playing lessons are for juniors, college players, and competitive amateurs who are already playing events or preparing to. If you are not competing yet but want to, we can use this process to get you ready for your first tournaments.
Will I get something written to review after the session or round?
Yes. After tournament prep and playing lessons you receive a written summary of your plan and key priorities. After playing lessons, you also get a few short videos highlighting the changes we discussed on the course.
